Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully before downloading, installing, accessing, or playing Girl Detective (the “App”) on iOS or Android, or using our website at https://mintzi.xyz/girldetective.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Mintzi LLC (“Mintzi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Wyoming limited liability company. By downloading, installing, or playing Girl Detective, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy (located at https://mintzi.xyz/girldetective/privacy), which is expressly incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms or the Privacy Policy, do not download, install, or use the App.
By accessing or using Girl Detective, you affirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all players, visitors, and users of the App.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose technical data, anonymous identifiers, and gameplay activity when you use the App. By using the App, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
Girl Detective deals with mature themes, including adult romantic relationships, infidelity, simulated intimate text messaging, lingerie, and suggestive humor, and carries an age rating of 17+ on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
You represent and warrant that you are at least 17 years of age. If you are at least 17 years old but under the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction (typically 18), you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
The App is strictly prohibited to anyone under 13 years of age. If you are under 13, you may not download, access, or play Girl Detective.
Girl Detective is an interactive narrative mystery game that plays out through simulated phone interfaces, social feeds, and group chat conversations.
Network Connectivity Requirement: Although your active story choices and game progress are processed and saved locally on your device, the App is not an offline game. An active internet connection is required to download story content, validate and restore subscriptions, deliver software updates, and access online features.
Case Content & Modifications: The App offers interactive narrative cases and mystery stories, including introductory free cases and premium Pro cases available through our subscription. We reserve the right to add, modify, update, refresh, or retire stories, cases, features, or content packs at any time without prior notice or liability.
Girl Detective offers an optional auto-renewing subscription called “Girl Detective Pro,” which unlocks access to all Pro narrative cases and upcoming subscriber content. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account.
From time to time we may offer a free trial of Girl Detective Pro (for example, a one-month free trial for new players or as a referral reward). The length of the trial and the price you will pay once it ends are shown on the screen where you start it, before you confirm.
Starting a free trial begins a subscription. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription and your Apple ID or Google Play account is charged the price shown, renewing each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel during the trial in your store account settings (see Section 4A) and you will not be charged.
Free trials are limited to one per eligible account. Apple and Google decide whether your store account is eligible for an introductory offer; if you have already used one for Girl Detective Pro, you may not be offered another. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you purchase a different subscription plan during the trial.
There is no grandfathering of content. If your subscription expires, is cancelled, or fails to renew, access to all Pro cases will lock immediately at the conclusion of your prepaid billing period, even if you previously downloaded or began playing those cases. Your saved story progress is safely preserved in local device storage, and renewing or purchasing Pro will immediately restore access to your saved progress.
Because Girl Detective does not use registered user accounts, your Pro entitlement is tied directly to your Apple ID or Google Play account. If you reinstall the App, switch devices on the same platform, or your Pro status does not display, tap “Restore Purchases” on the paywall screen to re-sync your subscription entitlements.
Girl Detective collects technical device data, gameplay activity, and anonymous identifiers, and shares this information with service providers that help us run the App (such as analytics, crash reporting, cloud hosting, and subscription management), as described in our Privacy Policy.
This data is not tied to a registered user account. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not currently share it with advertising networks. If that changes, we will update our Privacy Policy first and ask for your permission where the law or your device requires it. You can manage your privacy choices at any time through your device settings and as described in our Privacy Policy.
Girl Detective features an optional Refer-a-Friend program. Players receive a unique “Detective Code” (located on the “Share with friends” screen in the App) that can be shared with friends.
Referral Reward: When a friend enters your Detective Code, or you enter a friend’s, both players may become eligible for a one-month free trial of Girl Detective Pro. The reward is available once per player, no matter how many friends you refer. It is delivered as an Apple or Google introductory offer, so it is subject to the free trial terms in Section 4B, including store eligibility and automatic conversion to a paid subscription unless cancelled.
No Monetary Value: Detective Codes, referral counts, referral rewards, and in-game milestone recognitions have no cash or monetary value, cannot be redeemed for fiat currency, are not legal tender, and cannot be transferred, sold, traded, or assigned to any other person.
Anti-Abuse & Fraud Prevention: You agree not to engage in fraudulent, automated, or abusive practices, including creating fake installations, employing botnets or emulators, posting referral codes to spam forums, or misrepresenting our game. Mintzi LLC reserves the absolute right to reset referral counts, void referral milestones, and ban or block abusive device identifiers without liability.
Program Modifications: We reserve the right to suspend, alter, restrict, or terminate the referral program at any time without prior notice.
If you submit reviews, suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or feedback through the in-app feedback modal or via email to support@mintzi.xyz, you grant Mintzi LLC a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, and incorporate such feedback into the App or future products without compensation, acknowledgment, or liability to you.
Girl Detective does not require account creation. If you voluntarily provide an email address (such as through our feedback form or customer support), we will use it to respond to you. We will only send you promotional emails if you separately opt in, and you may unsubscribe at any time by following the unsubscribe link included in each email, in compliance with applicable law (including the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act).
All characters, names, storylines, group chats, phone interfaces, photographs, apps, and events depicted in Girl Detective are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to real persons, living or deceased, or to actual events is purely coincidental. The simulated operating systems, messaging apps, and phone hardware are artistic fictional creations and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any real-world manufacturer or service provider.
A Note on Real-World Snooping: Girl Detective is a game of interactive fiction centered around snooping through fictional characters’ fictional phones. In real life, accessing another person’s phone, computer, accounts, or private communications without their express authorization is a serious invasion of privacy and may violate civil and criminal laws (including computer fraud and electronic surveillance statutes). Girl Detective is intended strictly for entertainment and does not endorse, condone, or encourage real-world spying, hacking, or snooping.
Ownership: All content, writing, scripts, dialogue, visual artwork, character designs, UI layouts, animations, sound effects, music, trademarks, logos, and computer code in Girl Detective are owned by Mintzi LLC or its licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
Limited License: Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Mintzi LLC grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and play Girl Detective on compatible devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial entertainment.
Reservation of Rights: No rights, title, or interest in or to the App or its content are transferred to you. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by Mintzi LLC.
You agree that you will not, directly or indirectly:
These Terms are between you and Mintzi LLC only, and not with Google LLC (“Google”). Google is not responsible for the App, its content, support, or warranty. Your use of the App via Google Play is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
The App integrates with and relies on third-party platforms, services, and software, including the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, cloud hosting providers, and content delivery services. Your use of third-party platforms is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. Mintzi LLC is not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of third-party platforms.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Girl Detective is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, with all faults and without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
Mintzi LLC explicitly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, quiet enjoyment, accuracy, and non-infringement of third-party rights. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, free of viruses or harmful components, or compatible with any specific hardware or software.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Mintzi LLC, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of saved game progress, loss of goodwill, device malfunction, or personal dissatisfaction arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the App, even if Mintzi LLC has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event shall Mintzi LLC’s total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount paid by you to Mintzi LLC for the App or Girl Detective Pro subscription during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to liability; or (b) twenty-five United States dollars ($25.00 USD).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liability for consumer damages; in such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT AND TO HAVE A JURY TRIAL.
Before initiating any formal legal or arbitration proceeding against Mintzi LLC, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. You agree to send a written Notice of Dispute by email to support@mintzi.xyz containing your name (or contact email), your Detective Code (located on the “Share with friends” screen in the App), a detailed description of the nature and basis of the dispute, and the specific relief requested.
You and Mintzi LLC agree to negotiate in good faith to resolve the dispute for a period of thirty (30) days following receipt of the notice. If the dispute is not resolved within thirty (30) days, either party may proceed to binding individual arbitration in accordance with this Section.
Except for disputes that qualify for small claims court or claims seeking injunctive relief for intellectual property infringement, any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or your use of Girl Detective shall be settled by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) in accordance with its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect, as modified by these Terms.
The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this arbitration agreement. Arbitration shall be conducted by a single neutral arbitrator. The arbitrator shall have exclusive authority to resolve all issues of arbitrability and contract validity.
YOU AND MINTZI LLC AGREE THAT ALL CLAIMS MUST BE BROUGHT SOLELY IN YOUR INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims and may not otherwise preside over any form of a representative or class proceeding. You and Mintzi LLC each knowingly and voluntarily waive any right to a trial by jury.
If twenty-five (25) or more similar arbitration demands are asserted against Mintzi LLC by or through the same counsel or coordinated counsel, the parties agree that the AAA shall administer the claims in batches of twenty-five (25) to fifty (50) claims at a time. Only one batch will proceed to arbitration at any given time, and filing fees will only be due for the active batch, to ensure fair, efficient, and cost-effective administration for all parties.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either you or Mintzi LLC may bring an individual action in small claims court having competent jurisdiction. In addition, Mintzi LLC retains the right to seek emergency injunctive or equitable relief in court to prevent unauthorized access, scraping, infringement, or misuse of intellectual property.
You have the right to opt out of this arbitration agreement. To opt out, you must send written notice by email to support@mintzi.xyz with the subject line “Arbitration Opt-Out” within thirty (30) days of the date you first download or install Girl Detective. The notice must state your intent to opt out and include your Detective Code. If you opt out, all other provisions of these Terms will continue to apply.
These Terms and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or Girl Detective shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
To the extent any judicial proceeding is permitted under these Terms (such as small claims, IP injunctive relief, or enforcement of an arbitration award), you and Mintzi LLC agree that such action shall be instituted exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and each party irrevocably submits to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
We reserve the right to modify, amend, or replace these Terms at any time in our sole discretion. When changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of these Terms.
For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice through an in-app notice, banner, or update release notes. Your continued access to or use of Girl Detective following the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your binding acceptance of the updated Terms.
