Terms of Service

License

Mintzi grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Sun Friend on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the App Store Terms of Service and these Terms.

Subscriptions and purchases

Sun Friend offers the following purchase options:

• Monthly subscription with a 7-day free trial. After the trial, the subscription automatically renews each month at the price shown in the App Store at the time of purchase, unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Lifetime purchase, a one-time payment that does not renew.

You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Refunds, where available, are handled by Apple under the App Store’s standard refund policy.

A single active subscription or lifetime purchase unlocks Pro features in both Sun Friend and Moon Friend on the same device, where both apps are installed.

Acceptable use

You agree not to (a) reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from Sun Friend, (b) use Sun Friend in any way that violates applicable law, or (c) interfere with the security or operation of the app.

Accuracy

Sun Friend provides sunrise, sunset, and related astronomical information for informational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantee that the times shown are precise for any specific use case. Do not rely on Sun Friend for safety-critical decisions.

Disclaimer of warranties

SUN FRIEND IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MINTZI WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF SUN FRIEND. Mintzi’s total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or Sun Friend will not exceed the amount you paid Mintzi (through Apple) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Sun Friend if you violate these Terms. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as required by law or Apple’s policies.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Sun Friend after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Mintzi LLC is organized, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Apple-specific terms

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Mintzi, not with Apple, and that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Sun Friend. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
